Van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Rodin. Oh my!

First stop today was the Musee D'Orsay. And I'm a little embarrassed to admit I'd never heard of this museum. When we arrived we were told inside we would find Renoir, Monet, and Van Gogh. I will recommend everyone check out a picture of Gabrielle with a Rose by Renoir. And I'll say I didn't take any pictures here because they weren't allowing any of us to take pictures of the art. I think it was so they could rob us in the gift shop, which they succeeded with me.  I finally got to see Van Gogh's self portraits and starry night. And I have to admit no picture does any of those pieces justice. There is something to be said about being able to see the paint strokes of a famous dead painter. It's amazing to see artists being able to portray images from their time to those of us now.

Next stop was Musee Rodin. Where I had the chance to see some of the photographic art of Robert Mapplethorpe as well as sculptures by Rodin.  These two artist had very unique ways of depicting the human figure. Mapplethorpe used clothing to accentuate a nude figure and Rodin attempted to capture the human figures fluidity. Both artists depict the beauty and magnificence that is the human body. I'll attach as many photos as I can. But, there were a lot of interesting figures I seen.
