This weekends GREAT adventures!!

So it's been a few days since my last post and it's for a good reason!  This is my LAST weekend in Paris!!  So I went and did as much as humanly possibly with short "naps". On Friday we ventured out to Pere Lachaise cemetery.  Which was amazing, we spent about 6 hours just wandering around until we were able to find Oscar Wilde's grave site. Which if I didn't find a picture of it on the internet we would've never found it. Why was it so hard you ask?? Check out some of my pictures. People are just about stacked on top of each other!!

So, why plastic around Oscar Wilde?  Because men and women were covering in with lipstick covered kisses. Of course it doesn't stop everyone. 

Also we were able to find Jim Morrisons gravesite. Although his was a little more difficult to find due to vandals. I was looking for a bust of Morrison. But,vandals also had stolen it!  So, the grave had been barricaded off. 

So how were able to find these two amongst the maze?  We took pictures of the map at the enter acne and amazingly that got us close enought. 

Finally, I finished my Friday by trying a local dish...any guesses??

If you guessed Escargot, you are correct!  It actually was done pretty well if you like clams you'll dig escargot!  This was my day at night I came back to almost the same area and tried some Brazilian cuisine which was delicious. After that we went to an absinthe bar which is an experience! And the absinthe was ridiculously potent! After which it was time to make a mad dash to catch the last train home at 1245!  So this was the end of day one of my weekend! I'll post two more blogs to cover my next two days!
